Sea Turtles

Welcome to the Sea Turtles! We are very excited to start this new journey with you and your child.

The Sea Turtle classroom is one that focuses on Self Help skills.  Children will be encouraged to dress themselves, clean up after themselves, wash hands independently, and take care of their belongings. We also focus on potty training in the Sea Turtle classroom. Children will be given the opportunity to sit on the potty whenever they choose to, and when they show enough interest we will start “potty training boot camp”. (More information will be given to you when the time arises) Parents can help develop these skills by working on them with their child at home.

Every Monday we will post a new lesson plan with the activities listed for the week, the weekly theme, and the skills we will be working on with your child.   We will also send out a monthly email to parents informing them of fun activities and classroom updates.

Our daily classroom schedule is listed below. We ask that children arrive by 9:00am as to avoid missing out on any special activities planned for the day.

What your child will need for the classroom (please label EVERYTHING):

  • 2 extra sets of clothing

  • 1 crib sheet

  • 1 blanket

  • Diapers and wipes

  • Lunch box and Ice pack

*Please note that we do NOT use Sippy cups in our classroom

We will send a note home if your child is running low or needs any of the above items. Please keep all large bags at home and only if needed send in a backpack for your child.

Sea Turtles will also be encouraged to make healthy meal and snack choices.  The best way to help them is to fill lunch boxes with a variety of healthy snacks and lunch options.

Our goal is to help your child feel loved, safe, and confident so that they may explore and learn at their own pace.  We encourage parent participation and visits.  We look forward to spending this year with your family!
