Mo, a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, joined Sandcastles in September of 2002 after teaching preschool and kindergarten in New Hampshire for three years. She originally joined our staff as the Pre-K teacher and program director and eventually took over as center director. In 2012 Mo made the very difficult decision to step away from teaching and directing to spend time with her growing family. Happily she returned as director in 2017. She brings with her 20 years of early education experience and a love of learning. As a working mom herself, her goal is to create a cohesive home/school connection and works with families and children to provide a happy, safe, and nurturing environment for children to grow and learn.
Ms. Brittany is the Co Director at Sandcastles. She works M, T, W, Th. She grew up in a small town in Iowa, but moved to the South Shore and started working at Sandcastles in 2009.
Ms. Brittany has worked in the childcare field since 1999. Her past experience ranges in ages infants through School Age. "My favorite thing about working with young children is watching them figure things out for the first time and seeing their reaction when they are able to do something by themselves for the first time."
Ms. Brittany enjoys spending time with her friends and family especially her nieces and nephews. She loves watching college sports and cheering for her beloved Iowa Hawkeyes. Ms. Brittany also enjoys planting and maintaining the Sandcastles garden in the spring and summer months and traveling around experiencing all New England has to offer.
Ms. Megan joined the Sandcastles team in 2012 but has been in the childcare field since she was 16. She has worked with children ages infant through kindergarten. Ms Megan is the Minnows teacher and her favorite part of working with infants (as well as other aged children) is watching each individual child develop each and every day from the little things such as sitting up on their own to reading a book on their own.
Ms. Megan loves being with her family and friends. She has many nieces and nephews and loves going to Rockport with them. She also enjoys spending time in Grafton, New Hampshire with her boyfriend. She loves watching the Boston sports teams especially the Bruins.
Ms. Lori has worked at Sandcastles for 20 years as an infant teacher. Her love and understanding of our littlest people is amazing. She is truly a resource for new parents! Lori's favorite part of working with infants is being part of the very first learning experience of our students. When not snuggling babies Lori enjoys spending time with her son and daughter and extended family.
Ms. Kathryn joined Sandcastles in September, 2021, bringing with her a love of babies and years of "mom" experience from raising her own two daughters. In addition to having a gift with infants, Ms. Kathryn is also an accomplished photographer, and has a degree in photography from Bridgewater State.
Ms. Alex started at Sandcastles in the Summer of 2016. She graduated high school in 2017 and is attending school at Bridgewater State University to pursue a degree in Elementary Education.
Working at Sandcastles has helped her gain experience and figure out that she has a passion for working with children. It has helped her decide what she wants to do in the future.
In her free time she enjoys doing All Star Cheerleading and being with her family.
Ms. Kristin has a bachelor's degree in psychology and spent 4 years working in special education before joining The Department of Children and Families and working there for 5 years. She then made the decision to spend time with her family and for the past 5 years has been home caring for her 3 children. Ms. Kristin spends her time away from work with her children and husband at various sports and activities and with her friends. She loves spending time with the youngest members of the Sandcastles family and watching them learn new skills and interact with each other.

Ms. Ashley is one of our amazing teachers in the young toddler classroom. Ashley joined the Sandcastles team in March 2014. She started as a floater then found her place in the Sea Horse room in June. You will find Ms. Ashley at Sandcastles Tuesday-Friday from 7:00-5:30.
Ashley graduated from Silver Lake in 2010 with her teacher certificate. She has experience working with children from young toddler to preschool age. Outside of Sandcastles Ashley spends time with her family and friends. Her favorite part of teaching is watching children explore things for the first time and seeing their reactions.
Sea Horses Aide
Ms. Melissa started working at Sandcastles in February of 2021 in the Sea Horse room. She began working with children when her first niece was born in 2011 when Melissa was just 12, and she has loved it ever since. In her free time, Ms. Melissa can’t stop watching Criminal Minds. This led to her love of criminal justice, which she currently studies at Massasoit Community College and plans on continuing at Bridgewater State University next Fall.
Sea Otters Teacher
Ms. Courtney is one of our wonderful Sea Otters teachers here at Sandcastles. She joined our staff in 2015. You can find her in all areas of the school.
Courtney graduated in 2010 from Silverlake Highschool with her certificate in teaching.
Ms. Courtney loves seeing the children's smiling faces when they learn something new, and how happy they get at the smallest things. During her free time she enjoys going to the movies, hanging with her friends, and playing with her two dogs.
Sea Otters Teacher
Ms. Katie joined the Sandcastles community in March of 2020. Prior to that she ran an in-home licensed daycare for 15 years. She is the mother of 3 children, a 25 year old daughter and twin 20 year old sons. Ms. Katie and her husband enjoy traveling and spending time with friends and family; especially on the beach or boat. Her favorite part of working with children is seeing their smiles and hearing their laughter.

Ms. Tayla started working at Sandcastles in October 2018. She is an amazing teacher in our Sea Turtles classroom. When she has free time she likes to spend it with her friends and family which includes her 3 younger sisters and 3 younger brothers. Tayla can't wait to work with all of your children.

Alissa joined the Sandcastles team in January 2021, coming to us with three years of early education experience. She has worked with infants, toddlers (her favorite age group) and preschool. At a young age Alissa dreamed of becoming a teacher. She attended Anna Maria College, where she studied early childhood education and is currently enrolled at Bristol Community College continuing her studies. In her free time, Alissa likes to spend time with her friends, including a cuddly cat!
Tropical Fish Teacher
Ms. Melinda joined our Sandcastles family August of 2015. She holds a degrees in Early Childhood Education and Psychology from Quincy College and UMass Boston. Melinda has been teaching for over twenty years! "Teaching is such a rewarding, fun job. To see the amazement and look of excitement in a child's face from learning something new or old. We learn a lot from children too."
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband of 28 years and two adult children. They love the great outdoors!

Ms. Ann has been working as an Early Childhood teacher for over 30 years with children ages two through Kindergarten.
Singing, literacy, fun with American Sign Language, learning through exploring, and enjoying a sense of classroom community are some of her favorite things about teaching.
"Hearing children's laughter and being part of their day-to-day simple joys means the world to me."
Ann and her husband live in Weymouth. She has a son who lives away at college. In her free time she enjoys walking, reading, relaxing at the beach with friends and family, and hunting for hidden treasures.
Ms. Laurie graduated from Bridgewater State College in 1995 with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. She has worked in a preschool/ Pre-Kindergarten setting for over 25 years. "Teaching is my passion, it is such a rewarding profession. To see the look of pride on a child's face as they master new skills is incredible to be a part of!"
While in college Ms. Laurie also majored in Spanish and she loves to incorporate Spanish vocabulary into her classroom curriculum. "Children are true sponges! They never cease to amaze me on how much they take away from each new experience."
In addition to her teaching hat, Ms. Laurie wears many others. She is a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She loves reading, vacationing, going to the beach, and supporting all of Boston's great sports teams.
Ms. Jen is one of our fabulous Dolphin Room teachers. She has been here at Sandcastles since 2006 and has worked in the early childhood field for over 20 years. She graduated Bridgewater State College with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Psychology. She started teaching Kindergarten right after college and has been teaching Kindergarten or Kindergarten Prep since receiving her degree. She loves being part of and watching the children as they prepare for their public school experience. The sad part is having to say goodbye to them as they move on to their new "big" school.
Ms. Jen and her husband have two children, their son graduated Sandcastles in 2014 and their daughter graduated in 2018. Family is important to Jen and she enjoys spending time with family and friends. The beach is her happy place and she tries to visit as often as she can.
Ms. Crystal joined the Sandcastles team in August 2019. She lives in Hull with her husband, her 9 year old son, and 7 year old daughter. She started working alongside children when she was in eighth grade as a volunteer in a head start and immediately loved it. She earned her certification as a Preschool teacher from Massasoit and received her Infant/Toddler certification while at Sandcastles. Her favorite part of working with children is helping them learn and prepare for the next big step in growing. "I learn just as much from the children as they do from me." In her spare time she loves to read, sketch, and spend time with her family.
Ms. Heather joined the Sandcastles team in February 2018 as a teacher in the Sea Turtles classroom. After working in the middle school setting for eleven years she was so happy to return to early education.
Ms. Heather has two grown sons and enjoys reading, traveling, and Boston sports.
Big Charlie started at Sandcastles in April 2019 as a Floating Aide. He is now a Freshman at the University of Oregon where he enjoys learning history and math, and plays hockey for the schools club team. Charlie really enjoys working with children and is majoring in Phycology. He really looks forward to working with the children at Sandcastles in the summer and during school breaks.
Miss Anna is a junior at Hingham High School. She is a cofounder of the mindfulness and spirituality club at her school. She loves helping out with the kids after school and being part of their learning experience here at Sandcastles. In her free time she enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her friends and family.
Ms. Autumn joined the Sandcastles team in September of 2021 and is one of our afternoon aides. She currently is a Junior at Scituate Public High School. She enjoys working at Sandcastles because she likes to make kids smile, and for the opportunities to help her to grow along the way. In her free time, she likes to hang out with her sisters and create art.
